Financial Care Series

Join Mettle Health founder and counselor BJ Miller, MD and Marci Lobel-Esrig, attorney and founder of Silver Bills for an informal and interactive conversation on financial considerations.

Silver Bills is a concierge bill management platform. Instead of being inundated by paper bills, having to remember deadlines and write checks, clients are enjoying life without these stressors.

On top of the physical aspects of illness and aging, there are also important financial considerations with big ramifications. A general lack of understanding about estates, pensions, life insurance or social security can make a huge difference in quality of life, dying, death or lead to unnecessary suffering. The reality is that nearly half of adults aged 53-71 manage or help manage a parent or other aging relatives’ finances, and 47% of adults aged 50-59 are simultaneously raising children and caring for aging parents. Being there for your family is a true joy, but caring for an aging loved one on top of regular responsibilities can easily become an overwhelming situation.

In this discussion we’ll go over the basics of what you need to know when managing finances for yourself or another person, and answer your questions on finances and family.

All online discussions begins with a basic overview before opening up to the group for Q&A and conversation. This session should feel as supportive as it does educational, so bring your questions and comments, or feel free to just listen. Together, we’ll explore real life examples and address your questions.

Discussions are held online and once registered, you will receive a link via email to join on video or by phone.

If you can't make it to the live session you will receive a recording.
