Understanding Care Options

While most of us want to be independent for as long as we can, it’s not always a possibility. A move, family finances, energy, or change in health can mean it’s time to think about other options and help, but what’s available to you or for a loved one and what should you expect?

There is a myriad of resources available depending on your location and circumstances. Physical therapists, hospice houses, hospital units, home care, skilled nursing facilities, or a residential care facility may be a good fit, but understanding what they can—and cannot—do, is important when making these decisions.

Talk to a Mettle Health counselor about your situation. Your counselor will have tips and suggestions for resources that might make sense for your care or the care of a loved one
