Embrace our DEPENDENCE on one-another

Independent sounds like such a strong word to aspire to. Being able to live and support yourself without anyone else’s help sounds great, right? You’re the captain of your life, traveling the seas alone, navigating chopping waters and smooth seas!

Somewhere along the way though, it’s opposite - dependence - became something shameful. That you need anyone else, or need that four-letter-word “help". This is what we hope to change, to embrace our DEPENDENCE on one-another.

If you are already practicing giving and receiving help, bravo, you’re set up to make things easier when you really need it: we’re talking serious illness, aging, end of life and grief here. When we can create loops of givng and receiving, we create new connections, stronger relationships and reduce isolation.

There are so many people who feel that being dependent on another person is a negative thing, but it’s just ain’t so.
