Burial Traditions

Wonderful recent op-ed in the NY Times from the fabulous Caitlin Doughty on new ways to think about your remains.

We continue to not have many choices about what to do with our bodies after we die. For most of us, that conversation begins and ends with 2 choices: burial, or cremation. We’re heartened to see creative thinking around such a big decision; and that’s not to say that we think the two standards are bad, we just think there’s room for more spice!

There’s also the planet to consider. As we come to grapple with how our choices change the world around us (mostly for the worse), many of us want our remains to be disposed of in a way that does minimal harm.
