Basking in the love of my chosen family

Do you ever feel like the stuffs happening outside your yard is a little bleak and difficult to cope with? I definitely do, it can’t be all smiles and tail wags and ball catching all the time, right? When things do get heavy, I like to lean on my chosen family (yes, that includes cats, don’t judge me) for love and a mental refresh. Maybe we do a joint nap, or just hang out on the deck together and enjoy the silence of watching the birds. Whatever it is, I feel secure in the knowledge that they’re there for me if I need them - unless they just had some catnip, then they’re useless. It’s all about finding the animals -or people! they can be cool sometimes too- who make you feel good and support you in your choices.

What relaxing stuff do you do with your chosen family? Pick up dog treats? Go tennis ball shopping? Take your dog for a hike? Go to work together? (What else do humans even DO?)
