So much of life is about our perspective

So much of life is about our perspective, and here’s the cool part: you can change your point of view at ANY time! AND here’s one particular thing that has to do with perspective: our views on death and dying.

In this podcast with Dr. Anthony Orsini, BJ explains why we struggle with talking about dying and shares his thoughts on what we need more of in this mission of medicine to help physicians help their patients and families. With physicians modeling a perspective shift, we might all start to move toward a new way of seeing things.

Not to put all the pressure on you clinicians! We as the general public can start a perspective shift from the comfort of our own homes by just thinking about how our death might play out, thinking about the deaths of others we have lost, and just having an opinion on how it happens. We design so much of our lives, we pick our cars, our dining table sets, our clothing, our hairstyle, so why should we ever had our death over to someone else? Perspective shift time!
