National Nurses Week

National Nurses Week starts today! A chance for us to shout from the digital rooftops how much we appreciate nurses and all they do for patients and families, not just today, but every day. They go out of their way, sacrificing much of their own sanity, so that the rest of us can stay healthy and cared for.

There are about 1 million adjectives we could use to describe nurses, but that would be a LOOONG post so we’ll start with this shorter list:
Empathetic
Compassionate
Diligent
Kind
Funny
Attentive
Caring
Energetic (and HOW)
Friendly
Knowledgeable
Helpful
Sensitive

If you have a nurse in your life, we encourage you to tell them how fabulous they are and how much their work is seen and appreciated. Working in the healthcare system is hard, and they don’t always get that encouragement from their institutions so we need to pick up the slack!

Sending 💕 and hugs to all the nurses out there. Your presence in our lives is often taken for granted, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love you any less.
