How to Say A Special ‘Goodbye’

Did you know…
…that there’s no rush to call anyone after a person dies at home?

It’s true! A side effect of the funeral industrial complex is that most of us think you have to call the funeral home immediately to pick up the body and take it away. This is not the case. It’s perfectly safe to sit with your person, hold their hand, talk to them and if you want, bathe and dress their body before calling anyone.

Giving yourself the space and time for this special “goodbye” to their physical form can be incredibly beneficial to the grieving process as well.

What questions do you have about the period before or after a death? Let us know!
